Free vs Plus
Both plans come with a weekly allowance of messages and call time. Plus gives you more, plus a few features Free can leave out.
How the plans work
Every plan is a set of weekly allowances and a short list of features. The allowances are what you can use in a week: how many messages you can send BrightMind, and how much time you can spend on calls. Plus has bigger allowances than Free, and some features can be part of Plus only.
This page explains how the rules work. It leaves out the numbers and the prices on purpose, because they change. The offer inside the app (open Settings and tap the BrightMind Plus card) shows what Plus adds, its price and any free trial, and BrightMind can tell you in a chat what you have left this week.
Your weekly allowance
- Messages. Each message you send BrightMind counts once. Its replies, and the messages it sends you from an automation, don’t count.
- Call time. Counted from the moment you’re connected, so ringing doesn’t use any.
- A new week starts on Monday at midnight in your own time zone. Both allowances refill in full then. Whatever you didn’t use doesn’t carry over.
How long a call can be
Two rules decide whether a call starts and how long it runs:
- A minimum to start. A call needs a minimum amount of call time left to begin. With less than that, the app tells you you’re out of call time for the week rather than connecting a call that would end almost at once.
- A longest call. Each plan sets how long one call can run, and it can be longer on Plus. When a call reaches it, the call ends. What you talked about is saved in the conversation, and you can start another call if you still have call time.
If your call time runs out partway through a call, the call ends there and the app tells you when more arrives.
Features that can be part of Plus
Some features can be switched on for Plus only. Which ones is part of the current terms in the app:
- Scheduled calls, where BrightMind calls you at a time you set. When these are part of Plus, Free keeps the first call you set up, such as the daily check-in from onboarding, and setting up another asks for Plus.
- Dictation, speaking a message instead of typing it.
- Attachments: photos, PDFs, documents and audio you send into a chat.
Tasks, Google Calendar, every integration, memory, and automations that arrive as messages are on both plans.
When you reach a limit
The app tells you at the moment it happens. A sheet says what you’ve used and when more arrives, for example More call time on Monday or More messages on Monday, and offers the free trial or Plus. A card stays in the conversation so the offer is still there when you come back to it. Nothing counts down on screen before that.
If a scheduled call comes due while you’re out of call time, BrightMind doesn’t ring. It does what the call was for in a message instead and tells you why.
In a chat, you can also just ask BrightMind what you have left this week. It reads your plan as it stands, so the answer is for your account, not a general rule.
The free trial
If you’ve never had Plus, the app offers a free trial. A trial is Plus in full, with Plus’s allowances and features. When it ends without a subscription, you move to Free with a fresh weekly allowance, not whatever was left of the week before the trial.
Restore a purchase
Reinstalled the app or moved to a new phone and Plus no longer shows? Open Settings, tap the BrightMind Plus card, and tap Restore Purchases at the bottom of the offer.
