Home
See what is happening today, move between days, and get help with the next thing without rebuilding your task list in another app.
What Home brings together
Home gives you one daily view across the tools you already use. Tasks, calendar events, TickTick habits, scheduled calls and your automations can all appear in the same timeline. You do not need to copy them into BrightMind first.
Items with a time sit in the timeline. All-day tasks and anything dated but without a time stay in the anytime area near the top, where they are easy to find without pretending they belong at a particular hour.
Can’t find a task? Home only shows items with a date. Tasks without a date live in the Tasks tab, next to Home in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
Your wake and sleep times appear in the timeline as markers at those times. They label the shape of your day rather than trimming it, so items keep their place in time order around them. Tap a marker to change the time, for that one day or for every day, or just ask BrightMind to change it for you.
Use BrightMind as your calendar and day view
A lot of people want one place to see the whole day instead of opening Todoist, TickTick, or a separate calendar app. Home is that place: a calendar-style day view that lays your tasks and calendar events out on a single timeline, with the open time slots between them.
Can I use BrightMind as my calendar instead of opening TickTick or Google Calendar?
Yes. Home shows your connected tasks and calendar events together as one day timeline, so you can check and plan your day from BrightMind and only open the source app when you want to. Those apps stay the source of truth; anything you change in Home is sent back to them.
Does BrightMind have a day view or timeline with free time slots?
Yes. Home is a day-by-day timeline. Timed items sit in order, all-day items stay in the anytime area, and when there is a useful open stretch between timed items you can tap that free slot to plan something in it.
Why does my day start earlier than my wake time?
The timeline is ordered by time, and your wake time is a marker on it rather than a cut-off. A habit or calendar event set for 9am sits above an 11am wake marker, because that is when it is actually due. If the early item should not be there, change its time in the app it came from; if the marker is wrong, tap it and set a new wake time.
Move between days
Use the week row below the date to move around your plan:
- Tap a date to open it.
- Swipe across the week row to move to the previous or next week.
- Swipe the main Home screen left or right to move one day at a time.
- If you have wandered into another date, tap the Home tab again to return to today.
BrightMind loads the days around the one you are viewing, so nearby dates are usually ready as soon as you select them.
Open an item
Tap any item to open its details. Depending on where the item comes from, you may see its schedule, notes, list or calendar, labels, recurrence, reminders, subtasks, attendees, location, and comments.
From the detail sheet you can:
- Mark a supported task complete. If the task lives in a connected app, the change is sent back there, so both places stay in sync.
- Open a subtask to see its own details, or tick it to complete it.
- Tap the BrightMind orb at the bottom to start a conversation about the item, with the useful details BrightMind already knows filled in. Every kind of item has it, scheduled calls and automations included. The sheet closes once you send the message.
- When the item comes from another app, tap the orb showing that app’s icon to open the item there: Todoist, TickTick, Google Tasks, or Google Calendar. The sheet stays open behind it.
Use an open stretch of time
When BrightMind finds a useful open stretch between timed items, Home can show Add task in the gap. Tap it to open a prepared conversation draft with the start and end time filled in.
The draft is not sent automatically. Add what matters, change the wording, or close it. If the day is empty, Home gives you a simpler Add task action instead of filling the screen with empty hours.
Deal with overdue tasks without scanning every list
If BrightMind finds overdue items in your active task manager, built-in or connected, a card appears near the top of Home. Tap Process overdue items to see them in a list, tick off what’s already done, then tap Process with BrightMind for a conversation draft about what to finish, move, or drop.
See Process overdue items for the full flow.
Refresh Home
Pull down on Home to ask BrightMind for the latest version of the selected day. Home also refreshes after you return to the app. If one connected service is temporarily unavailable, BrightMind keeps the useful items it already has instead of making the whole day disappear.
If something is missing, try these in order:
- Pull down to refresh.
- Check that the correct day is selected.
- Open Settings and confirm the task or calendar integration is still connected.
- Open the source app and confirm the item has a date or time that belongs on this day.
Where your tasks live
BrightMind’s built-in tasks are the default. If you use them, Home is where they live: there’s no other app to keep in step.
If you connected Todoist, TickTick or Google Tasks, Home is a calm view across your day, not another task database to maintain. That app, like Google Calendar for events, stays the source of truth, and changes you make through BrightMind are sent back to it.
Want to work through something in more detail? Open it with Ask BrightMind, then continue in Conversations.
